Administrative Technician, Senior
Devoted to providing clerical and/or office support activities for the city functions and staff. Incumbents assigned to this class provide more advanced transaction processing involving basic research, verification, reconciliation, and mathematical calculations, as well as responding to internal and external customer questions and inquiries by communicating standard policies and procedures. Incumbents may be assigned to confidential positions or handle confidential materials.
An incumbent is responsible for providing administrative support to staff, projects and/or an office or filed function including processing more complex financial and service-related transactions and monitoring their status; processing customer-related transactions such as service requests, registrations and/or cash-handling; preparing documents reports and presentations; entering and retrieving data; and ensuring the accuracy of information contained in databases and systems.

ADA and Other Requirements
Positions in this class typically require reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
Work is routinely performed in an indoor office environment.
